I rebranded the Design Museum for the ISTD awards 2015. The brief called for a rebrand as the museum was moving from it's old location to a new one in Kensington. A theme of old and new was established using an acclaimed typeface routed in print with a modern one designed for screen to create the logo. This was to show the importance of digital based design in the modern world as well as print, to further define the theme of old and new. A slanted line following the profile of the new building and a strong orange colour was used to play off with the yellow in the old branding and to try and reiforce the strong future of the museum in it's new larger location.
The branding works to be instantly recognisable and embody the rich but realitively new history of graphic design as a practice.
